Every October, Haitians worldwide celebrate Mwa Kreyòl Ayisyen — Haitian Creole Month, honoring the language’s history and cultural pride.
Born during the colonial era, Haitian Creole united enslaved Africans through a shared voice of resistance and became the language of Haiti’s independence in 1804. Officially recognized in 1987, it stands as a symbol of freedom, resilience, and identity.
Celebrations include cultural events, music, poetry, and educational programs in Haiti and across the diaspora, all aimed at promoting pride, connection, and respect for the Creole language.
Join us for Konbit 2025, a virtual global gathering of thinkers, creators, and changemakers dedicated to amplifying Creole voices.
This two-day event will feature insightful panels, inspiring keynotes, and engaging performances, all highlighting the richness and impact of Creole languages and cultures.
Konbit 2025 will be streamed on Multilingual Media’s platforms, ensuring global accessibility and participation.
